NotebookLM

I’ve been toying around with NotebookLM by Google over the past few days. Its conversational podcast feature blows me away.

NotebookLM lets you upload documents/links/videos and interrogate them through a chat interface. Just like others.

But… it also creates this highly engaging conversational podcast-like audio snippet of what you uploaded.

I tried NotebookLM with these three technical papers on GaN on Diamond transistors that I do not comprehend. And it did an incredible job of explaining them [9 minute episode here]. Simplifying something complex easily like this was pretty astonishing to me. This can make technical or research content more consumable.

In the example below, someone used AI to create a podcast series about a niche topic in about ~ 3 hours. This can be a fun project (eg. students, kids etc). Now everyone can be podcasters. 😅
